DAY 10
October 12, 2006

Today a large group joined us in the middle of the high desert outside of Fairview, Utah. Doug and my brother-in-law, Adam, were with me. Then a good friend of mine, Josh, showed up to walk for a bit. Off in the distance, we saw a man with a camera who turned out to Eli Lucero from the Herald Journal. Suddenly a car stopped and out jumped Rick, a member of Veterans for Peace who walked with us in Salt Lake City, and his son Mikey. Rick even had on a Soldier’s Peace T-shirt.

So, where I least expected to be accompanied on the walk, there were six people with me. Amazing.

I took a shorter walk today because I’m a little ahead of schedule. My feet feel good and I decided that I’d better stop while I was ahead. Kristen told me tonight that she asked everyone to pray for my feet. It’s deeply appreciated and apparently very effective. I don’t expect any pain from my feet tomorrow.
